Betty Brigade helps Girl Scouts Get Organized
ANN ARBOR, MI - Sharon McRill, President and CEO of The Betty Brigade, an Ann Arbor-based personal assistance and concierge company, will speak to local Girl Scout Troops about careers in organizing.
In order to fulfill one of the requirements of the new G.O. Girl (get organized) Interest Project award, Senior Girl Scout Troup 1666 of the Huron Valley Council invited professional organizer, Sharon McRill to make a presentation at their April 3, 2006 meeting. Connecting the girls with experts in the community is a key requirement for this Senior level interest patch and allows the girls to interact with positive role models. Exposing the girls to various careers is also important and helps them explore their talents, strengths, and interests in light of career choices. The Girl Scouts will complete an organizing project after the presentation.
Renee McKeone, Troop Leader for Troup 1666 said, "The new interest patches developed by GSUSA seem to be addressing essential needs...what teen doesn't need to learn to be more organized with their space, possessions, and time? A lot of the mothers want to stay for this workshop as well! We are thrilled to have Ms. McRill assist us in this endeavor."
Sharon McRill added, "I'm so excited that such a prominent group as the Girl Scouts is recognizing and wanting to learn about careers in organizing."
